SPORTS

I have been photographing sports professionally since 2011, mostly skateboarding, which has taken me up and down the west coast and into Canada.  I was a member of the official media for 2014 and 2015 at the Maryhill Festival of Speed, an IDF World Cup event in Goldendale Washington.  Both of those years my images were licensed as the official event posters.

Over the last 5 years my work has been featured in ads and editorial pieces in Concrete Wave Magazine, Thrill Magazine in the UK, Wheelbase, City Blights, and online in Thane Magazine, Girl is Not a 4 Letter Word, Transworld Business, and others.

The past few years I have been a crew member at Skate[Slate] Magazine, so I post in the online version an occasional blog "Don's World", and my images are used in print for editorial stories and interviews or features. I got my first cover Skate[Slate] Issue #30 Early Summer 2016 in which I contributed a photo spread featuring the cover-subject Jimmy Riha.

I have photographed bicycling in the U.S. and Mexico, and beach and water sports (beach volleyball, sailing, rowing, triathlon and bicycling)as part of The Peale Project at the 2015 Special Olympics World Games held in Los Angeles and Long Beach.

Currently I also shoot on official projects and coverage for the The Poseiden Foundation and for the IASC Skateboarding Hall of Fame.

I was featured in an interview with Thane Magazine and sat for an interview on the photography podcast Photo Spark Show.
